As you may be aware, other bulk email providers do not allow the sending of attachments. The option has always been included in the system, because there are instances when this can make life a lot easier.

It has become necessary to restrict emails with attachments due to the load it puts on the system. A recent email to 10,000 people had a 6MB attachment, requiring 60GB of email to be sent!

In order that other users to not experience performance issues because of this the following restrictions are now in place:

• A maximum attachment size of 2MB has been set.
• All email with attachments will be scheduled to be sent from 6pm.

For attachments larger than this, or priority sending, rather upload the attachment to your website and include a link in your email to it.
